Who are you? Rooting through film

On this day of coming together, we invite you to step into a space of real connection. During this workshop, Saskia Boorsma and the team of Stichting WIE BEN JIJ Film will introduce you to their unique method of truly bringing people together. Guided by their experience, we’ll explore what it means to see each other beyond stereotypes and assumptions.

Our workshop starts with powerful film fragments from our program, where children interview each other and share their stories — showing the strength of our differences and the things we all share. Through these films, we’ll reflect on what it means to belong in a diverse society, and how curiosity can bring us closer together.

Next, you’ll be paired with someone you don’t know. In a relaxed and open setting, you’ll ask each other meaningful questions and film one another, experiencing how simply asking “Who are you?” can reveal both the unique paths we walk and the common ground we stand on.

This workshop is more than just an activity; it’s a chance to slow down, meet someone new, and truly listen — to share your story and hear theirs. Together, we’ll build a moment of genuine human connection: heart to heart, person to person.
