Workshop Rooted in Creation: Dreamcatchers, Mandalas, or Folk Art
Olga Samokhvalova is an Ukrainian multidisciplinary artist and creative workshop facilitator now living in the Netherlands. Her work is grounded in nature, folk traditions, and healing through art.
“After fleeing the war in Ukraine, I experienced what it means to be completely uprooted. Art and community have helped me begin to grow new roots in the Netherlands. Rooting, for me, means rediscovering inner safety and belonging. One reflection I hold close is that ‘Roots are invisible, but without them, nothing blooms.’ I now help others reconnect with themselves and each other through creative practices.”
