Ahmad Joudeh’s dance is a mix between Arabic Dance and classical Ballet, a dance style he personally developed to create a bridge between Arabic and western arts and culture.
He was born in 1990 in Yarmouk, a Palestinian Refugee Camp in Damascus, Syria. Since his father is a son of a Palestinian refugee, Ahmad was born as a stateless refugee. Even though his mother is Syrian (from Palmyra), women in Syria can’t pass on their nationality to their children.
At the age of 8 Ahmad saw a ballet performance for the first time in his life. He has been fascinated about dancing ever since. His dream was clear: to become a dancer.
