Info

As a cultural anthropologist and dancer, John brings movement to life as a means of expression and healing. His approach is rooted in the Ubuntu philosophy: I am because we are. In his workshops, he invites participants to connect with themselves and others through rhythm, the body, and togetherness. Dance thus becomes a powerful tool for expressing emotions, releasing blockages, and transforming together.

“Dance keep me connected with my body and myself. I teach dance and try to get the participants also to get in touch with their bodies. In African Dance I use the African Philosophy of ‘Ubuntu’, ( togetherness ). In my workshop and classes I emphasise on dancing together and uplifting one another through dance. An African quote I regularly use is: ‘We eat to feed our bodies, We dance to feed our Souls’.
